Monaco OPTIX 1.0

Precision Calibration for LCD and CRT Displays
1. Product Description
MonacoOPTIX is a monitor calibration system that combines a state-of-the-art
colorimeter with powerful and easy-to-use software to provide
an outstanding profiling solution for both LCD and CRT displays.
2. Components
The MonacoOPTIX
Colorimeter
The MonacoOPTIX is a dual-purpose colorimeter designed to measure
both LCD and CRT displays. The MonacoOPTIX is the most accurate
contact measurement device for LCDs on the market. Key features
include:
'Light Tunnel' design to limit the field of view
for each photo sensor
(critical for quality measurements from an LCD.)
Unique pulse-period timing that allows the sensor
to accurately
measure at very low light levels.
Every device is factory calibrated to standards set
by the National
Institute of Standards (NIS.)
Intelligent software and electronics that adjust
for the type of
display being measured allow the MonacoOPTIX to properly
measure the unique spectral content of either an
LCD or CRT.

MonacoOPTIX Software
MonacoOPTIX software is bundled with every MonacoOPTIX colorimeter.
The software utilizes Monaco's wizard-based interface and provides
users with an intuitive and powerful software companion to the
MonacoOPTIX colorimeter.
Key features include:
Calibration and profiling of both LCD and CRT displays.
User selectable white point.
Users may select the white
point that fits best with the type of
work they do (i.e. 5000K
for graphic arts or 6500K
for photography.)
User selectable gamma for Macintosh or Windows systems.
Hardware assisted contrast and brightness setting.
By using the MonacoOPTIX
colorimeter to set the display's
optimal brightness and contrast
before profiling, users can ensure
the largest tonal range and widest color gamut for
their device.
Monaco's legendary ease-of-use. All of Monaco's software
offerings are widely recognized for their intuitive
interfaces and
thorough documentation.
